To: John Cornyn, U.S. Senator

Schedule a Meeting with your Senator: John Cornyn

Our immigrant communities deserve - and expect - Congress to provide a pathway to citizenship - without delay.

Our communities need support now as COVID-19 continues to disproportionately threaten Black and brown communities, including immigrants. Passing citizenship is relief - and we need to turn up the pressure.

The House has acted by passing the Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act. Now, it's time for the Senate to act. During congressional recess (which is between March 22 and April 11th), we’re asking immigrant youth and allies around the country to commit to meet with their US Senator and share why the Senate must take action to provide relief for our communities.

Sign up to join this meeting during Congressional Recess! The organizer of this meeting will be in touch with you about the date and next steps!

Why is this important?

The Senate must bring the Dream Act, the Secure Act, and the Farm Workforce Modernization bills to the floor by April 30.

Congress is in recess until April 11th. That's why we want to use every day until then to reach out to our Senators, share our stories, and call for action.

A pathway to citizenship is extremely popular with the American people. According to a Quinnipiac poll, 83% of Americans support a pathway to citizenship for immigrant youth. According to a recent PRRI poll, 64% of Americans support a pathway to citizenship for ALL undocumented people. The majority of voters (55%) also said they would be less likely to vote for a Senator who votes against citizenship bills.

Our country is at our best when we live by our values of compassion, dignity and respect. Now is the time for our nation to implement humane infrastructure and policies that protect all immigrants and welcome people in a safe and dignified way.
